I purchased a spindle of 10 of these Blaze BD-R discs after a friend sent me a link to this sale, and after I had researched the brand online. Given the relatively low price and free shipping, I figured I'd find uses for these discs.
Here's my results: I burned three BD MV discs with Nero 8, authored in Adobe Encore CS3. Being an XDCam user and a quality freak, I set the bitrates for the encode max limit to the highest setting available which is, I recall, 35mb/s. Disc burning went smoothly for all discs made. Burn speed was about 1.3X actual, but overall, took about 35 minutes to write all data.
I played the disc on my Sony BDP-S301 with no problems noted.
A friend of mine and I went to a local audiophile store that sells home theater components and we tried the discs on a Samsung BD-P1600. It loaded right up to the menu and when we selected a program off the menu, the video played without any observed issues. That is a Profile 2.0 player. Being that the player was priced right and satisfied my friend's requirement to play BD-Rs, the testing ended there.
Print quality on the disc face is average to fairly good. The discs are unbranded and as a seller of short run productions, I like that the discs don't sport "brand name/speed" etc on the hub.
I'm ordering another ten this week.

I was hesitant getting these because they were generic, but got them because they were by far the best price online I could find. Most discs go for at least $10 a piece so $4 with free shipping is quite a bargain. So far they've worked great and have a nice high quality glossy printing surface. Only con I can think of is the center non printing hub is larger than my dvds 41 mm as opposed to 21mm.

I bought these things, skeptical; knowing how cheap DVD's used to
dissapoint me. Burned the first 2; used almost 18GB of the disc,
for a little over 3 nours of HD video. Perfect. Then I copy my final Blu-Ray data, to the other 8. Perfect.!!! No skips, blocking, hesitstions. Fast forwarded through the last few. Printing looks great, drys fast; put them right into the Panasonic Blu-Ray player; right after printing. After ejecting the disc; no signs of smearing. Used my LG-GGW to burn them. At 4X, takes about 16.5 minutes to copy data. New formula? Great, will buy more, when needed. Use TY DVD's; this will be my Blu-Ray Brand.
